On every level of experience we are being called to release ourselves from our stuff, our fears, the past, and the blinders that have prevented us from seeing everything, including who we are, for what it is. When we think of the times we're in, freedom takes on a whole new meaning, because we are in the midst of releasing ourselves from 13,000 years darkness.How far can we stretch our definition of the word? Our July issue is filled with articles that go beyond flag waving and patriotism.

At a time when all of our limits are being tested and redefined, our perceptions of freedom have everything to do with who we allow ourselves to be. Things are changing so fast we can’t keep up with it. At times the rate of change makes us feel like we’re losing it, until we remember to relax and give ourselves the freedom to move beyond the boundaries of the known. As the veil that separates the world’s gets thinner and thinner, the idea that we are free to explore aspects of ourselves that have been inaccessible to us up till now begs us to consider what it might take to release ourselves from the beliefs that keep us stuck in 3 D. Hopefully all of the articles and videos in our “Freedom Issue” will take you far enough out of the box to stretch all of your limits and liberate you from the feeling that life is spinning out of control. With the Ascension process already underway, the best we can do is let go and allow it show us how to grow beyond ourselves. The Monk Agapit of Pechersk, Unmercenary Physician

The Monk Agapit of Pechersk, Unmercenary Physician ("Medic"), born at Kiev, a novice and student of the Monk Antonii of Pechersk, lived during the XI Century. If any of the monastic brethren fell ill, the Monk Agapit came to him and selflessly attended to the sick one; he fed him boiled herbs which he himself prepared, and the patient recovered through the prayers of the monk. Many laymen also turned for help to the monastic physician possessing the gift of healing. In Kiev at this time was an experienced Armenian physician, who by one look at a patient was able to diagnose the nature of the illness and even accurately determine the day of death. When one of these fore-doomed patients turned to Saint Agapit, the grace-bearing healer gave him to taste of food from the monastery refectory, and the patient became well. Enflamed with envy, the physician wanted to poison Saint Agapit, but the Lord preserved the monk, and the poison had no effect. Saint Agapit healed the Chernigov prince Vladimir Monomakh, – the future GreatPrince of Kiev (1114-1125), by having sent him boiled herbs. The grateful prince himself went to the monastery and wanted to see his healer, but the humble ascetic hid himself and would not accept gifts. When the holy healer himself became sick, that same Armenian physician came to him and having taken a look, he said, that death would follow after three days. Before this he gave an oath to became an Orthodox monk, if his prediction were not fulfilled. The monk answered, that the Lord had revealed to him, that He would summon him only after three months. Saint Agapit died after three months (1 June, not later than 1095), and the Armenian went to the hegumen of the Pechersk monastery and took monastic vows. "It is certain, that Agapit was a saint of God, – said he. – I well knew, that it was impossible for him in his sickness to last three days, but the Lord gave him three months". Thus did the monk heal sickness of the soul and guide to the way of salvation.

"هذا القرص المعدني المتطور مصنوع من زجاج معالج بتقنية النانو ذات الحرارة العالية ومعروف أنه تنبعث منه طاقات علاجية يمكنها أن توازن القوة الحياتية في جسدك. من خلال امتصاص الطاقة الحرارية وتحويلها إلى طاقة بيولوجية يمكن لهذه القلادة أن تساعد وظائف الأيض الخاصة بالجسم على تحقيق الصحة والعافية التامة وتنشيط عقلك وتحسين أداء العمليات العقلية". العبارتان السابقتان روجتا لمنتجات شركة تستخدم الإنترنت للتسويق لما يسمى بـ "منتجات العافية", ونالت إقبالا كبيرا من قبل الفتيات في المملكة. وقالت إحدى مقتنيات قلادة الطاقة (تحفظت على ذكر اسمها) إنها ابتاعت هذه القلادة من الموقع بـ 2000 ريال, مشيرة إلى "أنها عندما ارتدتها شعرت بالنشاط والطاقة والقدرة على السهر أكثر من المعتاد بالإضافة إلى القوة الجسدية في حمل الأشياء الثقيلة". وأوضحت الفتاة أن زميلاتها اشترينها بعد أن شعرن بأن مفعول القلادة صحيح والدليل الطاقة التي اكتسبها جسمها, على حد قولها. من جهتها, ذكرت فتاة أخرى أن من الأمور التي ساهمت في الترويج لهذه المنتجات هو أن الموقع يحسب عدد النقاط للشخص بحيث إن كل شخص يسوق للمنتج يرتفع رصيده من النقاط حيث تحسب بقيمة مالية تحول إلى حسابه البنكي.وعلق مدير مركز التميز البحثي لتقنية النانو في جامعة الملك فهد للبترول والمعادن الدكتور زين بن حسن يماني بأن الأصل في ادعاء التأثير لمثل هذه المنتجات هو النفي، حتى يتم إثباته علميا بحيث تكون هناك تجارب ضابطة control وتجارب اختبار testing، مشيرا إلى أن عددا من الطلاب عرضوا عليه قلادات يزعمون أنها بتقنية النانو، ويعتقدون بأنها تجلب الطاقة، ولكنه لاحظ عدم تأثيرها عند التمحيص على أحدهم. واستبعد صحة ذلك الاعتقاد، وأن مرجعه قد يكون إيحاءا نفسيا فقط، منبها إلى خطورة الانسياق خلف الإعلانات الدعائية التجارية في النواحي العلمية التجريبية. وأوضح يماني أنه على استعداد لعمل دراسة علميّة قاطعة في حال توفر عدد من القلائد تخدم الدراسة.من جانبها, ذكرت الأخصائية النفسية في مستشفى الملك خالد الجامعي بالرياض لينا اليحيى "أن التأثير النفسي ينعكس على الشخص سواء كان تأثيراً ايجابياً أم سلبيا ويستمده عادة من أشخاص أوهموهم بتجربتها وبمدى فعاليتها أو عن طريق وسائل الإعلام أو عن طريق المسوقين للبضاعة. وأضافت أن الأفكار أكثر تصديقا لدى الشخص المحتاج لها كمرور الشخص بضغوطات قد تجعله أكثر تعلقا بأي شيء قد يخرجه من ضغوطاته، موضحة أن المراهقين عادة ما يتعلقون بالأمور الغريبة فيكونون عادة مستهدفين من قبل بعض المروجين لمثل هذه الأمور.
