Japanese Lessons 15 - 20

○ Lesson 15: At the platform

-Which platform is right for Shinjuku?: Shinjuku-iki wa dono homu desu ka?
- That platform: Ano homu desu.
-Does this train go to Tokyo?: Kono densha wa Tokyo e ikimasu ka?
-Yes, it does: Hai, ikimasu.
-No, it does not.: I-i-e, ikimasen.
-I have left my bag on the train. : Densha ni kaban o wasuremashita.
-I have lost my ticket. : Kippu o nakushimashita.
-Does this train stop at Ginza? : Kono densha wa Ginza ni tomarimasu ka?
-Exit: Deiriguchi

-Please tell me when we get to Shinjuku. :Shinjuku ni tsuitara oshiete kudasai.
-Yes, all right. :Hai, i-i desu yo.
-Is this station Shinjuku? : Koko wa Shinjuku desu ka?
-No, it isn’t. That’s next. : I-ie, chigaimasu. Tsugi desu.
- It’s the one after next. : Tsugi no tsugi desu.
-What station is this? : Kono eki no namae wa?
- No smoking: Kin-en
-No admittance: Tachi-iri-kinshi
-Emergency exit: Hijo-guchi

-How many stops is that from here? : Koko kara ikutsu-me desu ka?
-Third stop. : Mittsu-me desu.
-Does this bus go to the airport? : Kono basu wa kuko e ikimasu ka?
-I’m going to get off at the next stop. : Tsugi de orimasu.
-How much is it from the airport? : Kuko kara ikura desu ka?
-Please put the fare in here. : Ryokin wa koko ni irete kudasai.

-first bus: shihatsu
-last bus: saishu

○Lesson 18: Being Sick
-What’s matter with you? : Do shita n desu ka?
-I feel ill. : Kibun ga warui n desu.
-Get a doctor, please. : Isha o yonde kudasai.
-I have a fever. : Netsu ga aru n desu.
-To a hospital, quickly. : Byoin e hayaku.
-Please take me to a hospital. : Byoin e tsurete itte kudasai.
-Please call an ambulance. : Kyukyusha o yonde kudasai.
-I’ve been hurt. : Kega shimashita.
- I was burned. : Yakedo shimashita
-Help! : Tasukete kudasai.
-How are you feeling? : Do shimashita ka?
- I’ve got a pain here. : Koko ga itai n desu.
-Does it hurt here?: Koko, itai desu ka?
-Yes, it does. / No, it does not. : Hai, itai desu. /I-i-e, itaku nai desu.
-I have a pain in my belly. : Onaka ga itai n desu.
-I feel dizzy. : Memai ga shimasu.
-I feel like vomiting. : Hakike ga shimasu.
-I’ve got diarrhea. : Geri shite imasu.

-How many times per day should I take it? : Ichinichi ni nan-kai nomu n desu ka?
-Three times. : Sankai desu.
-Are you allergic? : Arerugi-I wa arimasu ka?
-When should I take it? : Itsu nomu n desu ka?
-How many pieces should I take each time? : Ikkai ni ikutsu nomu n desu ka?
-I’ll give you an injection. : Chusha shimasu.
